Sue Ellen Longwell has a Bachelor's degree in Human Services from Western Washington University. She did two years of internships developing her skills in counseling and art therapy at Providence Hospital in Everett, Child Protective Services in Everett, Fred Hutchinson Bone Marrow Transplant Research Center in Seattle and Service Alternatives in Everett.Sue Ellen Longwell is a member of the American Art Therapy Association, American Board of Hypnotherapy, The Guild of Hypnotists, Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society, alumni of WWU and member of the Better Business Bureau.
Sue Ellen Longwell is an artist and personal counselor working and living in Everett, Washington. She has been in private practice for over 20 years and has done art all her life.
Her intention is to bring revitalizing and healing growth
to client through aesthetic, psychological and emotional aspects of the creative process for personal well being. This is also the intention of her art and for the viewer to experience.
Sue Ellen has two distinct styles using watercolor, realism and a loose expression that elicits a spiritual connection. The viewer is drawn into the artwork to discover their own images, questions, and understandings.
Her artwork and prints have made their way to Egypt, Germany, England, New Zealand, Australia, and throughout the United States.
In addition to art therapy, counseling and workshops, Sue Ellen creates and sells her watercolor cards, Giclee prints and original artwork at the Transforming Arts Studio. There are over 100 pieces of artwork available to view at the studio. The studio itself is an expression of art, which Sue Ellen loves to share by appointment only.
